My statement as an artist

As a mover, my artistry is derived from my love for self expression and my passion for physical movement. Dance allows me to express my experiences and my thoughts into a form of physical movement. Dance provides an opportunity for a mind-body connection and creates a safe space for risks to be taken. Both creating and performing are critical aspects of my artistry and I use them to further my individuality in my dance practices. Dance serves as a catalyst for my personal growth and development. This practice brings me comfort and fulfillment, and I cherish the opportunity to share my passion with others through captivating performances and creative endeavors.

My Teaching Philosophy

As a dance educator, my approach is rooted in the belief that teaching dance goes beyond strengthening technical skills—it's about nurturing individuals, fostering creativity, and cultivating a supportive community. My philosophy revolves around caring for students as both dancers and humans, while passing along knowledge and experiences gained from my own journey in the dance world. I believe in the importance of recognizing each student as a unique individual with their own strengths, challenges, and aspirations. I strive to create an environment where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered to explore their potential. Whether it's providing personalized feedback, offering emotional support, or simply lending a listening ear, I aim to nurture students' growth not only as dancers but also as individuals. Furthermore, I believe in fostering a sense of community and collaboration within the classroom. I encourage students to support and uplift each other, to celebrate each other's successes, and to learn from each other's perspectives. By creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive space, I aim to cultivate a sense of belonging and camaraderie among students, fostering lifelong friendships and connections that extend beyond the studio walls. My teaching philosophy revolves around caring for students as both dancers and humans, while passing along knowledge and experiences gained from my own journey in the dance world. By nurturing individuals, fostering creativity, and cultivating a supportive community, I aim to inspire a love of dance that transcends the studio and enriches students' lives for years to come.
